Synopsis

Frank struggles to get custody of his five-year-old daughter from his wife who has mental health issues and save her from her mother's influence.

David Cronenberg’s The Brood (1979) is a chilling and deeply unsettling horror, showcasing the director’s early mastery of grotesque storytelling. Starring Oliver Reed and Samantha Eggar, the film explores trauma, rage, and the power of the mind in a uniquely disturbing way. With its slow-burn tension, eerie atmosphere, and shocking finale, The Brood remains to this day a thought-provoking and haunting film—equal parts emotional and grotesque.
