"THE EYE"
WRITTEN BY ELLIOT LINES / OCTOBER 13, 2022
With the previous two weeks being the lead up to a heist job, Episode 5: The Eye, wastes no time jumping right into the job itself. Andor is seemingly setting up these 3 episodes arcs, that almost act like a their own story within the series. It feels like nothing that has been in the Star Wars universe before, bringing (Almost) whole new stories and characters to the table.
Trust has built between the group over the short time they have been together, it may not have been fully there but it certainly built. The show lends enough time to these characters to make you care, safe to say by the end of this one that care comes to light. The heist seemingly goes along without a hitch, but the inevitable happens when they get caught up in a fight with blasters then ultimately some Tie Fighters. And it's at this moment things for our rebellion group go very downhill.
Andor is a show with heart, giving you just the right amount of time with these characters before telling the next tale in Cassian's story. We may have the occasional Star Wars moment, but the show still feels fresh this far in.
