Absurdly hilarious 2004 comedy, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy hits 20 years old. The star-studded film included the likes of Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, Steve Carrell and more was a stapple in the 00's comedy film genre. Paramount have marked the occasion with a Limited-Edition 4K Ultra HD, which is available to own now, and thanks to Substance Global we've managed to get our hands on a copy.
Released in cinemas on July 9, 2004, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy marked the feature directorial debut of Adam McKay and was written by McKay and Will Ferrell, who stars as the titular, mustachioed hero.
The 20th Anniversary 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray set includes the remastered theatrical version of the film in sparkling 4K Ultra HD, plus two Blu-ray Discs with more than two hours of legacy bonus content, including cast auditions, deleted scenes, bloopers, an “Afternoon Delight” music video, and much, much more. In addition, fans can enjoy both the theatrical and extended cuts of the film on Blu-ray, as well as Wake up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie, a 92-minute film featuring outtakes and unused storylines from the original movie. Housed in a rigid slipcase, the 'Stay Classy' Edition also comes with some extra goodies for all fans of the Channel 4 news team. Firstly, there is a a theatrical film poster featuring the main 5 cast members, which brings back memories from all those years ago. Also included is Ron's notebook/diary that has plenty of funny gags and references recognisable from the film itself. Some smaller extras include top trump like cards for the main characters and a Channel 4 sticker. Finally, there is 6 'art cards' which show various scenes from the film including the 'flute show' and 'news team fight', with all the cards having quotes on the reverse side.
This Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy 20th Anniversary Edition gives you this film like you've never seen it before, with plenty of extras from the discs on top of all the treats that also come with this fantastic set.
